Clarification Systems

Water clarification is used in the treatment of raw water, industrial effluent, municipal waste water and municipal drinking water as pre-treatment to further purification processes.

Clarification consists in removing all kind of particles, sediments, oil, natural organic matter and colour from the water to make it clear. A clarification process is the first part of conventional treatment for waste and surface water treatment.

The clarifier works by allowing the heavier and larger particles to settle to the bottom of the clarifier. The particles then form a bottom layer of sludge requiring regular removal and disposal. Clarified water then takings through several more steps before being sent for storage and use.

A clarification step is the first part of conventional treatment for surface water & waste water.
